How to assign a contact profile to a customer profile? First select the contact in an arbitrary view. Select from menu: Actions - Selected documents - Re-assign customer. Select the new customer profile form the list of customers and confirm with OK (this action can also be used to convert a private customer to a regular customer subject to a company). Do NOT select the corresponding activities (correspondences etc.) for this contact! These will automatically be re-assigned as well. How can a word change within a category be applied to multiple documents? Select all documents which should be updated. Select from menu: Actions - Selected documents - Field search and replace. Within this dialog select the corresponding field. Enter the former (old) value. Enter the current (new) field value and confirm with OK. How to apply an account manager to existing customer or contact profiles? Use the action: Actions - Selected documents - Modify customer or contact profiles. The first entry within this dialog form ("Responsible") defines the account manager. Select via names and address book all persons who should be entered as account managers. Activate the selection "Modify value" (use "replace" to replace all current account managers, if any, with the new list; or use "append" to keep all existing account managers, if any, and add the new list to them) and confirm with OK. Alternatively - to minimize future maintenance of this entry - you can also specify a group of users as account manager. This group can then be maintained via the global names and address book. If a new account manager shall be added, only the corresponding Notes ID has to be added to the group within the names and address book. For many customers the customer name followed by the first value of the expertise in brackets is shown. This, however, does not apply to all customer profiles. How can this value be shown for all customer profiles? To force the expertise to be displayed for all customer profiles you have to add the following lines to the global configuration document within the section "Special settings - language independent": CUSTOMER_VIEWLINE-de:%%Kundenprofil [<CITY>][ (<$AccountType>)] CUSTOMER_VIEWLINE-uk:%%Customer profile [<CITY>][ (<$AccountType>)] This setting, however, is only valid for future customer profiles. To update display for existing customer profiles select all customer profile documents and select from menu: Actions - Selected documents - Update view title. |
