Within this section a global policy for personal settings can be created.
Via this policy certain parameters of the personal configuration (which could normally be edited freely by every user) can be centrally administered.
Policy settings for new usersFurther, these settings serve to determine the default settings for new users, i.e. the values the parameters of the personal configuration will be set to until the user changes them to his liking.
Via the button "Modify settings" the form "default settings for new users" can be opened. This form is identical to the personal configuration document available to each user.
After you have specified the default settings, save and close the document.
Users newly added to the application will now all start with the same settings for their personal configuration. They can, however, edit these settings to their liking.
List of parameters users are not allowed to modifyIn order to globally restrict certain parameters of the personal configuration, select these parameters within the list.
All selected parameters will automatically be limited to the value specified within the "default settings for new users".
A user who tries to alter a policy restricted parameter will receive a corresponding warning message.
