TitleHere you can configure the selection list used for the field "Title" within contact profiles.
You can specify a default value and you can also determine whether or not new values should be allowed at runtime.
Job titleThis selection list will be available for the field "Job title" within contact profiles. As with all selection lists, a default value can be specified and whether or not new values should be accepted can be selected.
Letter salutationHere you can enter the selection lists for personal salutation of a contact (person). An arbitrary number of entries can be specified.
Examples for Letter salutation: Mr., Mrs., Herr, Frau
The "Default" field can hold a default salutation that should be preselected upon creation of new documents.
Finally you have to decide whether other values than the ones given here should be accepted by the application.
Setting for letter salutationWithin this section a special format for letter salutation within letters to contacts can be defined.
Example:
<SALUTATION>=Mr* | Dear <SALUTATION> <TITLE> <SURNAME>
<SALUTATION>=Herr | Sehr geehrter Herr <TITLE> <SURNAME>,
<SALUTATION>=Frau | Sehr geehrte Frau <TITLE> <SURNAME>,
* | Dear Sir or Madame,
This setting ensures that letters to contacts with a salutation setting of "Mr." or "Mrs." will be started by "Dear Mr." resp. "Dear Mrs." followed by title and surname of the contact.
If the German salutations "Herr" or "Frau" are used, the letter will be started with the words "Sehr geehrter Herr" resp. "Sehr geehrte Frau", also followed by title and surname of the contact person.
Clicking the "Default" button will overwrite the current values with internal default values of the application.
These settings define the default format of letter salutations for contacts. Upon creating outgoing correspondence, however, these settings will only be used in case the user did not specify any personal settings within his personal configuration document.
Settings for postal addressSpecial settings concerning address format of letters to contact persons can be defined here.
An example for such a format could be:
<SALUTATION>=Mrs. | <COMPANY><CR><BRANCH><CR<>DIVISION<>CR>Mrs. <TITLE> <GIVENNAME> <INITIAL> <SURNAME><CR><ADDRESS><CR><BR><ZIP> <CITY><CR><COUNTRY>
This format would be valid for contact profiles with the salutation set to "Mrs.". The address would be formed using all given parameters. An arbitrary number of formats (e.g. for salutations "Mr.", "Ms.", "Herr" etc.) can be defined.
Clicking the button "Default" will overwrite the current values with internal application default values.
These settings define the default format of address information for letters to contacts. Upon creating outgoing correspondence, however, these settings will only be used in case the user did not specify any personal settings within his personal configuration document.
Contact statusEnter the categories for contact status types into this field. An arbitrary number of entries is possible.
Examples for Contact status: no contact, telephone, personal contact
Into the field "Default" you can enter the default status that should be preselected upon creating a nwe contact document.
Also you have to specify whether or not other than the given values will be accepted at runtime.
Attribute 1 up to Attribute 3The fields "Attribute 1", "Attribute 2" and "Attribute 3" serve as additional selection lists. They can be configured the same way as all other selection lists:
A list with an arbitrary number of entries (each on a new line) can be predefined, a default value can be specified and a selection field determines whether or not new values will be allowed at runtime.
Further, each of the three fields can be assigned a field description. By this description the field will be displayed within the form for contact profiles (and if configured also within the form for customer profiles).
