Version 7.0 build 756g of GeoCom® Helpdesk is available.

Enhancements and modifications:

• a display error of open calls in the Notes client's tickler has been solved

• an error that occured while choosing a call requester from one or more databases via browser client has been solved 

Furthermore we give the following recommendations concerning configuration and handling of GeoCom® Helpdesk:

• Database properties: We recommend to limit the number of fields $UpdatedBy und $Revisions of the GeoCom® Helpdesk databases to a maximum of 100 entries. This can not be done via a template but must be defined in every single replica via database properties.    

• Database update using database replicas: For performance reasons GeoCom Helpdesk® uses so-called profile documents. In the case of using several database replicas (local and/or on servers) we recommend to force replications with all replicas from the current template instantly after the update. This avoids later overwriting by a changed, outdated profile. 

For the users of GeoCom® Library we have put together a database with example templates. It contains templates for order documents, correspondence documents, circulation documents and book list documents. The templates just have to be copied via clipboard into GeoCom® Library and can immediately be used afterwards. You may also modify them according to your wishes.

The tool GeoCom® Error Handling is available.

GeoCom® Error Handling consists of a LotusScript library primarily designed for handling unexpected errors (i.e. programming errors, insufficient memory etc.). But GeoCom® Error Handling can also be used to trap other errors, e.g. incorrect user input, configuration faults and such, or to write debug information.
